I looked at what Google brought up as lessons learned from blogging and was amazed to see no thoughts like the ones I’m about to write. Mostly people share advice on how to make money from a blog, increase traffic to a site, implement SEO, or stand out… For me the lessons learned are very different. How soon can you begin exposing children to fine arts? I feel it is never too early to let them experience and often re-experience the beautiful in life created by others. At dinner, I mentioned that I had sent e-mails to our Senator and our Congressman about the economy expressing my concern regarding the enormous proposed bailout package. I didn’t even notice how attentively my almost 6-year-old son was listening to what I was saying until he started trying to articulate in his words what he had understood. I read Random thoughts by a childhood friend where one of the sentences caused me to pause for a minute and think. The thought that caused me to stop was “… why would I never tell my closest people some of the things I write here.” How else can we be close with those closest to us if we are not able to share all our thoughts and feelings? The recent volatility in the stock markets around the world has put me on an emotional roller-coaster. The governments are doing what they can to prevent a global recession/depression but are they solving any fundamental issues? Absolutely not!
I think of every country as a family. The United States family has an enormous working potential and earns a lot of money for all the good that it creates every day…
