My "one thing" is the most important and from that "one thing" I feel I try to be better at everything else because of it. By focusing on the "one thing" it causes me to work at being a better husband, a better father, a better steward with my time and money, a better friend and a better person all around. Obviously I am human so I fail more than I'd care to admit. To me my "one thing" is developing a relationship with Christ and putting everything I have into that relationship (including family, friends, work, etc.). I don't want to take your blog off on a track you did not intend for it to go, but since you asked and since I don't consider my faith a private matter I have no problem stating it here. I will not throw it in anyone's face or shove it down anyone's throat, but given the question posed I felt it appropriate to answer honestly. During calm years Armenian arts and culture grow immensely and the results are overwhelmingly wonderful. Sam - If you add the time dimension, then I agree completely. My wife says she can multitask and be focused on multiple priorities at once. I can only focus on a single priority at any given time. But I think you're talking about a different "one thing." Because many lives matter in my life (including my own), their relative priorities are impossible to determine for me. Instead it seems I approach everything from a perspective of some sort of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triage" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">triage</a>. Does some goal matter more than my children? Does one child matter more than the other? Does art matter more than order? Is one role (being a Christian) more important than another role (being a husband)? If the "one thing" that matters most for you is not very personal private matter, feel free to share it. Perhaps I can understand your perspective a bit better and learn from you. This question (the one thing that matters most) doesn't have a solution for me, so I focus on other problems. Maybe after further growth and development I will arrive at the same conclusion as you but I'm not there yet. R – I completely agree. Work with family, enough money with too much money, family with friends, self time with selfless time, the list could go on. That is why it is important to keep your eyes on the one thing that matters. When you do that the balance is easy to achieve.
