The World From Two Perspectives

I have been reading a number of trader blogs recently trying to get a qualitative read on the mood hoping to find traces of capitulation. Unfortunately, the mood seems to be “hopeful.” As S&P500 approaches the November lows, VIX is actually half of where it was then. A Fresh Pair of Eyes

Heavily used machines are considered great when the quality of their output is constant with no statistically significant variances over time. In other words, they consistently produce according to their exact specifications especially long after the of expected useful life. We, on the other hand, cannot simply maintain good quality in what we produce. We must continuously show improvement in our results (such as progressively advancing resumes, higher levels of education and achievement, etc.)…

Computers In A Few Years

I am waiting anxiously for the day when the new computer will be announced within a few years. The main change? I’d like to see the keyboard and the mouse completely gone. I think their time has come. The latest Apple iPhone would be a good prototype for the user interface. First, keyboards have been around for over a century. Why I Believe In God

Because the alternative is unthinkable, unimaginable, and meaningless. Believing in God means believing that there is an almighty God, that we need to live our lives according to His rules, and that life does not end at death.
