Colombo: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for heavy showers and thundershowers expected across several provinces in Sri Lanka today.
Cloudy skies are likely over the Southern half of the island, while misty conditions will develop in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, along with Galle, Matara, and Kurunegala districts during the morning hours.

- Rain expected after 1:00 p.m. in most other parts of the country.
