Over 3,000 people have been impacted by severe weather conditions across several districts in Sri Lanka, according to the Disaster Management Center. Heavy rains have affected 3,243 individuals from 929 families in Kalutara, Puttalam, and Ratnapura districts. The adverse weather has led to two injuries and caused partial damage to 27 houses. Flooding has submerged several roads in the Kalutara district, including Warakagoda Kalawellawa Road, Alamodara-Paragasthota Road, Panagoda-Narthupana Road, Bulathsinghala-Molkawa Road, Bulathsinghala-Upper Velgama Road, and the Baduraliya-Penigala Road.

Due to the ongoing landslide risks, the Disaster Management Center has issued red notices for several divisional secretariats in Kalutara and Ratnapura districts. The landslide warnings have also been extended to the Colombo, Galle, Kegalle, Matara, and Nuwara Eliya districts. The Department of Meteorology has warned of continuing heavy rainfall exceeding 100 millimeters in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in Galle and Matara districts. Occasional rain or thundershowers are also predicted in the South and North-West provinces, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts. Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of adverse weather.
