Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has announced a transformative initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Sri Lanka by creating one million entrepreneurial opportunities. Speaking at an SJB rally held in Katunayake on the evening of the 21st, Premadasa outlined his vision to uplift the young generation through smart education and cutting-edge technology.

He emphasized that this ambitious programme will be implemented nationwide, focusing on cultivating the skills needed for entrepreneurship. As part of this initiative, youth development centres will be established in every provincial secretariat area. These centres will operate under the National Youth Corps, the Labour Ministry, and the Vocational Training Ministry, ensuring that young Sri Lankans have access to the resources and training required to succeed in the modern economy.

Premadasa highlighted that this comprehensive training and development initiative will be streamlined under a single, cohesive programme. The goal is to produce a generation of smart youth and smart citizens, who will contribute to the nation’s growth and prosperity. Once elected as President, Premadasa assured that his administration would prioritize this programme to secure a brighter future for the country’s youth.
