Over 250,000 badly affected by adverse weather.

According to the latest statistics 253,581 persons from 66,906 families across thirteen districts have been affected by the adverse weather conditions.

The Disaster Management Center confirmed that people in Ratnapura, Colombo, Kegalle, Kandy, Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya, Kilinochchi and Gampaha have been badly affected.

A total of 4,303 houses have been partially damaged while 42 houses have been completely damaged owing to the bad weather.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to the inclement weather stands at 30.
