Important Alert: 15-Hour Water Cut in Colombo Tomorrow!

Colombo Water Cut Notice June 2024: Essential Maintenance Scheduled

Residents in Colombo and the suburbs will experience a 15-hour water cut tomorrow (29th June) according to the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB). The NWSDB has warned the public that areas including Colombo, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Kotte, Kaduwela, Maharagama, Borelesgamuwa, Kolonnawa, Kotikawatta, and Mulleriyawa will face water shortages from 9 a.m. tomorrow until midnight.

This water cut is due to essential maintenance work under the Ambatale Water Supply System. The NWSDB has advised residents to make necessary arrangements to avoid inconvenience during this period.

Additionally, the NWSDB has requested public cooperation in conserving water during and after the water cut to ensure adequate supply once the maintenance work is completed.

Residents are urged to store sufficient water in advance and use it sparingly until the supply is fully restored. This planned maintenance is crucial for ensuring the long-term efficiency and reliability of the water supply system.
