Shocking! Easter Attack Presidential Report Mysteriously Disappears

News Today: Presidential report on Easter attacks mysteriously disappears

In a shocking development, the Presidential Commission report on the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks has mysteriously disappeared. Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando, Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Colombo, revealed that the report, which was initially received by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and later handed over to the Attorney General’s Department, has gone missing.

Fr. Fernando emphasized that the report contained vital evidence and crucial details about the attacks, which could lead to the arrest of several politicians if exposed. He also mentioned that ‘Abuhind,’ who had been in communication with Zahran, the leader of the attacks, played a central role in orchestrating the tragedy. Furthermore, newly appointed Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, Ravi Seneviratne, is said to be aware of key details about the attacks.

The report’s disappearance comes after two special committees were established to investigate the Easter Sunday attacks. The first, led by retired Supreme Court Judge S.I. Imam, examined allegations made by UK journalists regarding military involvement. The second, chaired by retired judge A.N.J. Alwis, focused on intelligence agencies’ failure to act on prior warnings about the attacks. Both reports were submitted to former President Wickremesinghe in 2024.

The missing report raises concerns about transparency and accountability, further fueling public outrage over the handling of the investigation.
