Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) leader, former MP Udaya Gammanpila has accused Public security Minister Secretary Ravi Seneviratne as a suspect in the Sunday Easter Attacks and called for his immediate removal from the post.

Gammanpila revealed that he was in possession of the A PCoI report which probed the 2019 Easter Sunday bomb attacks.

He alleged that State Intelligence had informed Seneviratne of the imminent attacks two weeks before the attacks took place.

“According to page 43 of the report, the SIS Director had informed the CID Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police on April 9th, 2019, that the National Thowheed Jamaath terrorists, including Mohammad Zaharan, were planning to carry out suicide attacks on several locations, including prominent Catholic churches. Who was the Senior Inspector General of Police at the time?It is the current Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, Ravi Senaviratne,” he stated.

He told reporters that he gave the President until 10 a.m. yesterday to release the PCoI report but since the deadline had passed,he was disclosing one of the reports and the second one will be disclosed,next Monday.
