Motorists are advised to avoid the road near the Buddhist Television Channel at Wijerama Mawatha in Colombo 7 and take alternative routes.

Operations are currently being carried out to remove a Banyan tree which has fallen due to the adverse wwather conditions.

The Colombo Municipal Council and the Colombo Fire Service Department are working on removing the tree.

No injuries or property damages were reported.
