The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced a significant reduction in fuel prices starting from midnight. Under the new pricing formula, Petrol Octane 92 will be reduced by Rs. 12, bringing the price down to Rs. 332 per litre. This reduction offers substantial savings for consumers, especially those who rely heavily on transportation.

Petrol Octane 95 will also see a minor decrease of Rs. 2, setting the new price at Rs. 377 per litre. In addition, Auto Diesel is set to drop by Rs. 10, making the new price Rs. 307 per litre. Super Diesel will experience a slight reduction of Rs. 3, now priced at Rs. 352 per litre.

Despite these changes, the price of Kerosene will remain unchanged, maintaining its current price. This move by CPC is expected to bring relief to many amid rising living costs and is part of a broader strategy to adjust prices according to global market trends.
