Iran’s Foreign Minister Set for Strategic Talks in Sri Lanka

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, is set to embark on an official trip to Sri Lanka from February 19 to 21, 2024, following an invitation by Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister, Ali Sabry.

Throughout his stay, Dr. Amir Abdollahian is expected to engage in courtesy visits with Sri Lanka’s President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena. Additionally, he and his delegation will engage in formal talks with Minister Ali Sabry at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This visit follows a series of bilateral talks between Minister Ali Sabry and Dr. Amir Abdollahian in Tehran, back in August 2023.

Accompanying Dr. Amir Abdollahian will be high-ranking officials from various Iranian departments, including the Presidential office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, and other pertinent ministries.
