Israel Destroys Iran HQ as War Threatens to Escalate Rapidly

News Today: Israel Destroys Iran’s Capital

In a dramatic escalation of Middle Eastern hostilities, Israel has launched multiple airstrikes on Iran, including a direct hit on Iran’s internal security headquarters in Tehran, as confirmed by Israeli sources. The bold operation marks one of the most aggressive moves in the ongoing confrontation between the two nations.

The Israeli offensive extended to other strategic locations across Iran, causing significant destruction. Iran responded swiftly, launching a barrage of missile strikes aimed at Israeli territories, further intensifying the conflict.

In his first televised statement since the attacks began on Friday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei stated, “We will not surrender to anyone,” and vowed that Iran would stand firm against both “an imposed war” and “an imposed peace.”

Khamenei also issued a fiery rebuttal to recent comments made by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who suggested that the United States might join Israel’s military campaign. Speaking from the White House lawn, Trump remarked, “I may do it. I may not do it. Nobody knows what I’m going to do.”

Without evidence, Trump further claimed Iran was “totally defenceless”, while also boasting about potential plans to assassinate Khamenei and demanding Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

Iran, however, denies any form of outreach to Washington. A spokesperson from Iran’s UN mission stated, “No Iranian official has ever asked to grovel at the gates of the White House.” The statement slammed Trump’s threats as “cowardly and despicable.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. military presence in the region is expanding. Additional warplanes have been deployed, and the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier is en route to the Middle East, signaling potential U.S. involvement.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeli Baghaei warned, “Any American intervention would be a recipe for an all-out war in the region.”
