News Today: Minister Confirms Easter Attacks Reports Will Be Released

Cabinet Minister and Media Minister Vijitha Herath announced yesterday that the Government will disclose the Easter attacks reports from the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) at the appropriate time. He emphasized that it is crucial for the Government to thoroughly analyze the accuracy and reliability of these reports before sharing them with the public.

Herath addressed recent remarks made by former MP Udaya Gammanpila, accusing him of spreading misinformation and behaving immaturely. Comparing Gammanpila’s actions to a child seeking attention by throwing toys, the Minister urged the public to avoid reacting to such propaganda.

He assured that the Government will release the reports of the Easter Sunday attacks investigation when necessary, dismissing any attempts to mislead the public. The Minister also reiterated the Government’s commitment to transparency and delivering the truth, but only after ensuring that the information is properly reviewed.
