The National People’s Party (NPP) Presidential candidate, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, is reportedly suffering from severe exhaustion and high fever, leading his doctors to advise immediate rest. According to NPP General Secretary Tilvin Silva, Dissanayake, who had been actively campaigning, missed a rally in Deiyandara, Matara due to his condition. Silva stated, “Anura is not well. He broke rest during the last few days, and now his fever has worsened. Doctors have advised him to rest for at least a day.” Despite this setback, Dissanayake managed to attend the NPP Lawyers’ Conference and a sports conference in Colombo yesterday morning.
As the NPP gears up for the upcoming election, concerns about the well-being of their candidate have surfaced.
