Additionally, the districts of Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Badulla, Moneragala, Ratnapura, and Kegalle will also see increased military presence.

The decision comes amid heightened concerns over security and the need to ensure a smooth electoral process.
