President Orders Key Roads Near Residence Reopened to Public

News Today: President Reopens Roads Near House Improved Access for the Public

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has directed the police to reopen all roads near or leading to the President’s house. This includes Sir Baron Jayathilake Mawatha and Janadhipathi Mawatha, which were previously closed to the public. Starting today, these roads will be accessible to the general public.

DIG Nihal Thalduwa, the police spokesman, confirmed the President’s decision. Previously, only authorized vehicles were allowed to pass through these roads due to security measures. The President’s decision marks a shift in the accessibility of these key roads, ensuring more freedom of movement for the public in the area.
