Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says that the electricity tariff can be reduced in the next two months.

The Prime Minister mentioned this during a discussion held at the Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat.
He reiterated that they are receiving an additional electricity capacity of 120 MW to the national system through the Uma Oya multipurpose development project.

The prime minister concluded that discussions have started regarding reducing the electricity tariff.
