News Today: Rain Showers Expected Across Sri Lanka Today

Rain expected today across several parts of Sri Lanka, as showers are forecast at times in Kalutara, Ratnapura, Galle, and Matara districts. The North-Western Province, along with Colombo, Gampaha, Kegalle, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts, are expected to receive several spells of rain.

Additionally, showers or thundershowers are likely to occur in the Uva Province, Batticaloa, and Ampara districts during the evening or night. Apart from these areas, mainly fair weather will prevail across the country.

Moreover, strong winds ranging from 40 to 45 kmph are expected over the western slopes of the Central Hills, as well as in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, and Southern provinces, including the Matale and Monaragala districts. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions.
