SJB’s Honest Approach: No False Promises, Realistic Goals for Sri Lanka
News Today: SJB vows to make only realistic promises for Sri Lanka’s future
Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) Presidential candidate and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa emphasized that the SJB is committed to delivering only realistic and achievable promises, rejecting the notion of making false promises to gain votes. Speaking at a public rally in Bandaragama, Premadasa highlighted that a future SJB government would prioritize the use of foreign aid over foreign loans to drive the country’s development. This approach, according to Premadasa, will ensure that Sri Lanka’s development is sustainable and does not burden future generations with debt.
He further assured the public that the SJB’s focus would be twofold: advancing the country’s development while simultaneously enhancing the welfare of its people. Premadasa stressed that under an SJB government, easing the cost of living and providing relief to the masses would be a top priority. The SJB leader expressed confidence that these goals are not only realistic but also crucial for the country’s progress.
Premadasa reiterated that the SJB will uphold its integrity by making only those promises that it can fulfill, ensuring that the public’s trust is never compromised. He called on voters to support the SJB’s vision for a prosperous and equitable Sri Lanka, built on the foundation of honesty and responsible governance.
