Sri Lankan company carries out World’s first car conversion in UAE.

A UAE-based Sri Lankan company has carried out the world’s first conversion of a Cadillac Escalade to a right-hand drive.
The successful conversion was made for the first time in the world by Global Conversions which specialized in automobile re-engineering.

Based in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, the Sri Lankan company is known for specializing in converting left-hand drive US car brands like GMC, Ford, Lincoln, Dodge, Chevrolet, Cadillac and US-made Toyota and Nissan vehicles to right-hand drive.

The latest conversion follows the company’s first successful conversion of the Hummer EV SUV to right-hand drive in March this year.

The Sri Lankan-owned company has achieved remarkable milestones in the automotive industry with its successful conversions of the world’s first Hummer EV SUV and Cadillac Escalade to right-hand drive.

Commenting on the latest conversion of a Cadillac Escalade to right-hand drive, Founder & Chairman of Global Conversions, Suresh Edirisinghe said that the vehicle was converted for a customer from Australia.

“I am extremely proud of my team for introducing, for the first time ever across the world, the all-new Cadillac Escalade in right-hand drive. Once again we delivered and we proved to the world that we truly are the real deal. We are a team of Sri Lankans who take pride in our engineering excellence,” he added.
