Sri Lankan rupee opens at 301.00/20 to the US dollar

Lanka’s rupee opened at 301.00/20 to the US dollar in the spot forex market on Wednesday, stronger from 301.90/302.00 on Tuesday, dealers said, while bond yields were down.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 11.25/35 percent from 11.30/40 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2028 was quoted at 12.05/10 percent from 12.10/15 percent.

The Colombo Stock Exchange opened up: The All Share Price Index was up 0.81 percent at 11,427, and the S&P SL20 was up 1.09 percent at 3,298.
