The Welipenna Interchange on the Southern Expressway has been closed due to sudden floods, the Expressway Operation Maintenance and Management Division of the Road Development Authority (RDA) said.

They said motorists are advised to use the Kurundugahahetekma Toll Booth and Dodangoda Interchange as exits and entrances.
